Canadian Council of Archives
The Canadian Council of Archives (CCA) coordinates, provides leadership and
fosters development and cooperation within the Canadian archival system by
assisting and supporting member archival organizations through programs and
services that benefit Canadians. We build organizational capacity within the
Canadian Archival System. We facilitate access to Canada’s documentary heritage.
We will administer tools and services focused on the needs of the stewards of
Canada’s documentary heritage. We enhance learning and growth about the Canadian
Archival System (CAS).

Canadiana
The Canadiana collections are the largest online collections of early textual
Canadiana in the world and include valuable national documentary heritage that
is used for research, teaching, and personal history. They includes 95,000
titles (19 million pages) of monographs, serials (periodicals, newspapers, and
annuals), and government publications. They also include the Early Canadiana
Online collection which consists of 5.8 million pages arranged in thematic
sub-collections. The Héritage collection, developed in partnership with Library
and Archives Canada and CRKN, includes 900 collections (41 million pages).

analyzing, and disseminating occupational data for labour market information and
employment-related program administration. Occupational information is of
critical importance for the provision of labour market and career intelligence,
skills development, occupational forecasting, labour supply and demand analysis,
employment equity, and numerous other programs and services.

The Canadian Encyclopedia plays an essential role in providing Canadians and
others with accurate, updated information about our people and country. If
culture is in fact the stories we tell ourselves about ourselves, The Canadian
Encyclopedia will strive to be the most comprehensive collection of Canadian
stories online. The Encyclopedia contains more than 61,000 multimedia items
including images, maps, games, audio and video. Multimedia is augmented through
acquisition and partnerships with Maclean’s magazine and The Canadian Press.
Interactive features include curated content collections, interactive timelines
and immediate updates of important events. The site also offers a learning
centre for teachers and parents that contains classroom resources, quizzes and
themed study guides.
